Support to Government schools: Although the government makes provision for the children to get free education, private school seems to be attractive over the Government schools. A lot of parents believe private schools impart “better” literacy and prefer to send their children although it is expensive. The only way to beat the myth is to strengthen the current Government schools.

Prakashraj Foundation has taken on itself to support and strengthen Government schools. To begin with; Prakashraj Foundation is working with five schools across Karnataka in three districts. Three schools in Mandya district, one each in Tumkur and Chikkaballapur, Another school in Semmanjarikoppam Village, Tamil Nadu.

Trained teachers in theatre were sent to these schools to educate children on Theatre & Art and Theatre festival was conducted time to time.

Setting up smart scientific laboratory, refurbishing & strengthening the school buildings with brick and mortar, construction of toilets, paying salaries for nursery assistants, teachers & cooks are some of the ongoing work.
